Makeda oscillates between aural, physical and curatorial practice, including music, performance / installation works, radio and design.  

As an artist, producer and DJ – she sketches a svelte aural palette, having performed locally and internationally with artists including Umfang, Shyboi, Klein, Aisha Devi, Nkisi, 33EMYBW, and Ross From Friends; and festivals including Dark Mofo, Red Bull Music, Hybrid Festival and Animals Dancing. She is currently a resident for cult Melbourne club-night Cool Room, one of the first Australian promoters to champion safe spaces and tour the current generation of femme, POC & LGBTQI+ luminaries including Laurel Halo, Discwoman and DJ Sprinkles.
